Kenny the keeper cheers on Olympic torchbearers

Kenny the keeper from ZSL London Zoo joined thousands of other Londoners to cheer on the Olympic torch relay this morning as it passed through Camden Town.

The Zoo mascot took a special early morning trip to cheer on the 16 torchbearers on the torch relay’s 69th day of journeying across the country.
Kenny cheered and high-fived the procession as they made their way along Chalk Farm Road to Camden Lock but also drew his own crowd, with children and adults stopping for a photo with the local zookeeper.
Earlier this year, LOCOG awarded the Zoo the coveted ‘Inspired by 2012’ mark for its Animal Athletes events – taking place all summer. Come and cheer on some of the most incredible athletes at ZSL London Zoo this summer, including Bob the burrowing owl taking on the 100cm sprint !
