For the first time in 8 years, ZSL London Zoo welcomed its millionth visitor on 23rd October.

Tina Doolan, from Dagenham, Essex, was the 1,000,000th paying visitor this year.

Tina, Terry Burley, their daughters Katie and Laura and niece Charlie Cornwell, were welcomed to the Zoo by a giant ant and her anteater friend before being whisked off on a behind the scenes tour.

The family walked amongst the marmosets and tamarins in the Clore Rainforest Lookout biome and then headed off to Into Africa to feed our giraffes Cara and Elish.

After lunch the family got up close and personal with Lucifer the lion (from a safe distance!), Honey the kinkajou and our penguins. A great time was had by the family in the Zoo.
