Here's a look at some of the exciting and amazing animals you will be able to see when Animal Adventure, ZSL London Zoo's new Children's Zoo, opens its doors on 3rd April 2009.
Red panda They can consume up to 45 percent of their own body weight daily, eating approximately 200,000 bamboo leaves daily.
Aardvark They are nocturnal. Once the sun has set they put their sharp claws to good use - digging to find termites.
Prairie dog They are excellent communicators. From special warning sounds when danger is near to discovering new objects, prairie dogs 'talk' to each other often.
Llama They are strong animals. They can carry about a quarter of their own body weight on a trek with no problem.
Kune kune pig They are a small breed of domestic pig from New Zealand. Kunekunes were kept by the native Māori people, and kunekune means "chubby" in the Māori language.
Nubian goats On a worldwide basis, more people drink the milk of goats than any other single animal.
Coati Their snouts are long, extremely flexible and can be rotated up to 60 degrees in any direction.
Porcupine They are nocturnal, which means they are active primarily at night. Their eyesight isn't very good but they have an excellent sense of smell.
Sheep They grow two teeth a year until they have eight. A one-year old sheep is called a hogget but a two-year old sheep is called a two-tooth.
Mongoose They hardly ever dig their own holes, instead they just move into burrows that have been left by other animals.
