Meet the Monkeys is a huge success

The monkey business is continuing in our new Meet the Monkeys exhibit at London Zoo. Our group of squirrel monkeys have really taken to their new home and are loving their new found status as the stars of the Zoo.

Over the past couple of weeks, they have even been visited by some human celebrities, keep reading to find out who.

The monkeys took up residency in their new home on Monday 21 March and have been wowing Zoo staff and visitors alike with their adventurous antics. The group came to London Zoo from our sister collection at Whipsnade Wild Animal Park and has settled in extremely well.

"The monkeys are proving to be a real hit with all of our visitors - from young kids to big kids alike, and they just love their new home. We are delighted that they have settled in so well and we are nearly as excited as they are about the Meet the Monkeys habitat!" said David Field, ZSL's head of animal care. "Our new exhibit really does give our visitors the chance to come face to face with these really cheeky monkeys!"

The enclosure was officially opened by BBC comedy duo, The Mighty Boosh, and our little stars have attracted some female attention from Jodie Marsh, who came in to film this week. If that wasn’t enough they even featured on Jonathan Ross' Saturday morning radio show.
