Scientific Meeting - Evolution in the Marine Environment
Dates: 13 Feb 2007
Times: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

For example, how does speciation occur in such an open system where many groups of animals and plants apparently have a huge capacity to disperse? What historical factors have been important in shaping patterns of marine diversity we know today? How might present climate change influence the marine environment in the future? These are some of the questions that will be addressed by scientists working on evolution in marine species at a range of different scales and from contrasting habitats.
Organised by Dr Alex Rogers, Institute of Zoology, ZSL.
