ZSL’s adoptions just got ‘otter!

Sunday 20 December 2009

There’s a new animal casting her spell over our adoption programme – say hello to ZSL London Zoo’s Harri Otter.

Harri Otter

Just like her famous boy wizard namesake, fun loving Harri can often be seen performing tricks. Her spectacular juggling talents entertain the crowds and it’s a well know fact she can make an entire crayfish disappear in seconds, especially when really hungry!

The first Harry Potter movie was filmed within the Zoo’s reptile house. In honour of this we named Harri after the main character – although she’s female so we’ve spelt it with an ‘i’.

Three year old Harri shares her home with her mother and six sisters. Visitors can see the eight boisterous female Oriental short-clawed otters running, swimming and diving in their purpose-built enclosure, which includes two pools and a waterfall.
