Let's play 'Hide and Beak'
Wednesday 28 May 2008
Take to the air and become one of ZSL London Zoo’s hummingbirds in our new, educational ‘Hide and Beak’ game. Fly around our new tropical bird house, the Blackburn Pavilion, collecting flowers that appear in the sunshine.

Soar around the pavilion collecting more flowers than your fellow endangered birds, but keep an eye on your nectar level. If it gets too low, you will drop out of the sky and the game.
As it progresses, the game teaches players about the rare and endangered birds found in the ZSL London Zoo exhibit. Each level starts with information about the birds’ diets and habitats.
The Blackburn Pavilion features a host of tropical birds flying freely inside our restored Victorian bird house. Walk amongst tropical plants, pools and even an indoor waterfall surrounded by the sounds of bird song in the air.
It allows visitors to enter a world of lush rainforest foliage and catch flashes of colour from the vast array of beaks, wings, and feathers fluttering on display, with many free flying around their new tropical home.
