Rockhopper penguin

Animal facts

The smallest of the crested penguins, rock hopper penguins are noisy, feisty and protective of their young. They lay two eggs and only the larger one hatches, to be raised by both parents. Chicks then huddle together in crèches until they moult and head out to sea.
