The veterinary department at ZSL London Zoo is responsible for performing regular health checks on the ravens (Corvus corax) living at the Tower of London. With the arrival of two new ravens, full health checks needed to be carried out.

Makoubou is a 15-year old Southern white rhino at Whipsnade Zoo who is not cycling. The veterinary team at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo have decided to attempt a pregnancy via artificial insemination, with the help of a team of reproductive experts from IZW Berlin.
