Island ecosystems conservation
Island ecosystems are vulnerable to extreme environmental events, such as typhoons, and the consequences of introduced alien species.
ZSL’s Island Ecosystems conservation programme therefore focuses on these threats to protect the endemic fauna of island archipelagos. In addition to direct conservation improvements for large numbers of endangered species, this programme helps inform wider conservation efforts for other island species.
