Rhinos and Art
Animal and art lover Joanna Skipwith has produced a wonderful book about rhinos, with the aim of raising awareness and money to help protect them from extinction in the wild.
This book includes beautiful paintings and other works of art featuring rhinos from all over the world, both contemporary and ancient, and by famous and unknown artists.
You will find photographs of masterpieces by Salvador Dali and Albrecht Durer amongst many others. It will also give you an insight into the life of the rhino with information such as what they eat, where they live and how many survive today in the wild as well as fascinating information on how and why rhinos have featured in art through the centuries.
The book has been produced for a wide range of ages and interests with the hope that you will discover the fascination of rhinos and the challenges they and we face with them in the future.
This is the second book written by Joanna Skipwith in this series. The companion book Tiger is also available through the ZSL web-site.
If you buy the book direct from ZSL, the publisher Silver Jungle has very generously offered to donate 50% of the purchase price to one of our field projects on the greater one-horned (or Indian) rhino.
The book is hardback and has been produced in the UK by a printer that is leading the field in environmental efficiency.
