ZSL London Zoo offers daily Meet the Penguins and Meet the Giraffes encounters. Your chance to get up-close to some of our most popular animals.
Meet the Giraffes
Your chance to go eye to eye with our tallest animals. Encounters take place within the VIP area on the viewing platform.

- Encounter starts at 14.00pm and lasts 20 minutes
- Maximum of 6 tickets available per day
- £25 per person on weekdays

Meet the Penguins
Due to the penguins popularity, tickets sell faster than the penguins swim so don't delay! Encounters take place within the VIP area within Penguin Beach.

- Maximum of 6 tickets available per day
- £45 per person on weekdays
- £60 per person on weekends & bank holidays
Restrictions on encounters:
Tickets for the VIP encounters do not include general entry into the zoo. Entry tickets need to be purchased in addition, unless you are a ZSL member.
Children need to be over 3 years old and over 3-feet in height. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied into the VIP area with an adult who also has a valid 'Meet the...' encounter ticket. We request at least 1 adult to accompany a maximum of 2 children for the encounter.
Pregnant, those who have given birth in the past 6 months or nursing mothers are unable to take part in the experience.
Participants with learning or physical disabilities, including wheelchair users, are welcome to take part. A carer or supporting adult can access the VIP area for free. Please see e-ticket for more details once purchased.
Encounter can be cancelled up to 14 days before the date and a full refund will be made. After this time, we are unable to reschedule the date or offer a refund.
