Difference between experiences
Tasks differ between ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo as each houses a different collection of animals. The Introduction to Zoo Keeping session is a more compact version of the full day experience (only available at London). The full day features more animals and more time is spent with some species.

Full day: 8.45am - 3.45pm
Introduction to Zoo Keeping: 8.45am - 1.30pm
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo
Full day: 8.45am - 4.15pm
What animals you will be working with
ZSL London Zoo
The animals you should expect to be working with include: giraffe, penguins, meerkats and monkeys or lemurs.
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo
The animals you should expect to be working with include: elephants, tigers or lions (not Wednesdays), Indian rhino, giraffe, wolves or wolverine, otters or meerkats.
Please note we only run The Introduction to Zoo Keeping experience at ZSL London Zoo.
The programme may be altered on any given day due to animal welfare or health issues, but ZSL will ensure that if this is the case then the activity will be replaced with another similar task.

Whipsnade Zoo - May booking up fast. Excellent availability for the rest of 2013.
London Zoo - Good availability from May onwards.
ZSL London Zoo
Full day sessions run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays all year round. Introduction to Zoo Keeping experiences run on every Wednesday all year round.
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo
Experiences run between April and October. Full day experiences run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We no longer run The Introduction to Zoo Keeping experience at Whipsnade.
Keeper for a Day does not run on Christmas Eve, New Years Eve or public holidays.
