Given exclusive access over six months, the BBC’s Supervets series showcased the skill and professionalism of the veterinary teams at ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, giving a fascinating insight into the unusual challenges ZSL vets tackle on a daily basis.

From a chimp with heart problems to a giant anteater with a bad back, a tiger in need of dental work and Komodo dragon with a peculiar walk, the series demonstrates the skill and enthusiasm of our vets and keepers in maintaining the excellent healthcare standards of our animals.

This high profile TV series follows on from the first, very successful series of Supervets’ and shows a number of procedures undertaken by ZSL alongside those undertaken by the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), who are also featured in the series.
