Research Interests:
My area of interest is emerging zoonotic diseases, with a particular focus on those that are found in wildlife. My current project involves the characterisation of unknown zoonoses in a population of straw-coloured fruit bats (Eidolon helvum) in Ghana. Focusing on henipaviruses, I am using both molecular and serological techniques to infer transmission patterns as well as detect previously unknown viruses.
