Dr Eric Isaí Ameca y Juárez
PhD Student (completed)
Curriculum Vitae:
- 2009-present: PhD in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation. Centre for Population Biology, IC & Institute of Zoology, ZSL.
- 2008-09: MRes in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation. Division of Biology, Imperial College London.
- 2001-05: BSc in Biology. Terminal area: Terrestrial Ecology.Faculty of Biology. University of Veracruz, Mexico.
.
Research Interests:
- Vulnerability assessment to population die-offs in terrestrial mammals.
- Risk of exposure to extreme climatic events in vertebrates.
- Species' conservation prioritization.
I am a third year PhD student supervised by Georgina M. Mace at Imperial College London and co-supervised by Guy Cowlishaw and Nathalie Pettorelli at the Institute of Zoology, ZSL. I am investigating how intrinsic (species biology) and extrinsic (extreme natural events) factors shape vulnerability to abrupt populations declines in terrestrial mammals.
