Delays and cancellations
Tickets are valid for the time and date specified only and are non-refundable. If your class does not arrive at the location specified on the date and time printed on tickets it might miss part or all of the activity. Efforts will be made to reschedule classes which are delayed but this is not always possible. Refunds will not be issued.
Only those with pre-booked tickets will be admitted to the activities.
In the event of extreme adverse weather conditions the safety of the activities and of the Zoo in general will be assessed. If the Zoo is required to close the activities will not continue and schools with pre-booked tickets will be able to request a refund or, if there are other dates available, reschedule. It is advisable to check weather conditions and that the Zoo is open before beginning your journey.
The lunch space is suitable for a maximum of 60 people at a time. Your class will be allocated time in the lunch space. There are no toilets or hand washing facilities available at the lunch space. The nearest toilets are next to the Discovery Centre. Lunch time slots are available for a period of 30 minutes from the start of your slot.
It is the teacher’s responsibility to prepare a suitable risk assessment in advance of any trip. It is important to undertake a risk assessment for children and their accompanying adults and to ensure that everyone wears suitable clothing and footwear during their visit. Please note that Whipsnade is in an exposed position and so experiences extremely cold weather during the winter. Pupils with special educational needs
For pupils who have special needs or need assistance on the day of the visit you are advised to inform the ZSL Supporter Services team in advance of your visit in order for staff to make the necessary arrangements.
