National Whale & Dolphin Watch Week

Thursday 10 August 2006

Have you seen a dolphin like this? Well during August there will be an opportunity for everyone to become involved in whale and dolphin spotting.

Bottle Nose Dolphin

During National Whale and Dolphin Watch Week 12-20 August 2006, you can take part in the survey at a ‘manned watch site’ where members and volunteers of Sea Watch Foundation Groups will be there to help you identify and record your sightings.

The ZSL team will be around Canvey Island during the week (dates to be announced) so feel free to join us. Alternatively you can send in your sightings if you spotted a whale, dolphin or porpoise whilst out and about such as walking, fishing, sailing or diving.

See the leaflets below for more details and remember if you see anything in the Thames please also fill in the ZSL on-line form for our Thames Marine Mammal Survey.
