Jarvis Group, Summer Family Fun Day and Christmas Party, The Cloisters Suite
We had a ‘Family Fun Day’ in the summer with 300 staff and children. This was really a ‘day out at the Zoo with family’ but we hired The Cloisters for lunch. As the weather was fine we had a BBQ lunch which was superb. The inside tables were all laid out but ZSL also had picnic tables within the walled garden. The whole day was superbly organized by the ZSL team.
In December we had our annual Staff Christmas Party for the first time at the Cloisters for 180 guests. We all had a super evening, and made the decision there and then that we would rebook for this year.
As a member of the Social Committee for many years, I have to say this was the first Christmas Dinner Dance that I didn’t feel I had worked half of the evening. ZSL organized it all, the tables and room were beautifully decorated, and the food was served hot and quickly. We provided a table layout identifying who was sitting where and ZSL then took over the rest. Drinks were served on arrival. They even had a snow machine blowing so when you drove through the Zoo to the Cloisters snow flakes were falling so it was quite magical.
I can certainly recommend the whole team there.

I am more than happy to promote Whipsnade as a party venue and we have already used the location twice (and I expect we will again next year). Both evenings have been exceptionally good, everyone enjoyed themselves and we had some excellent feedback.
The pricing has always been really good and we have always felt we have been given 100% value for money, the food is very generous, good quality, the wine is good, the waiting staff are excellent, the disco was good last year and the band we had this year were better still. The great advantage of the room is that the bar(s) are all in the same room as the dining tables and dance floor so the party stays together all night and as such you get a fantastic atmosphere.
