Sharks are the iconic top predators of the oceans and the biology of this ancient group of animals is remarkable. Unfortunately their conservative life histories make them highly vulnerable to over fishing and as by-catch species.

As a result, species previously regarded as abundant and widespread are disappearing and many are now listed as under threat of extinction.

Come and spend an evening learning about these amazing creatures and realise the only thing to fear about sharks is that they may not be there for future generations.
