i-Track - FAQ

What is involved in the i-Track experience?

i-Track is a red handheld device which comes with a set of headphones. The device contains information about our animals and their enclosures while it will also help you find your way around the zoo. The experience will take you approximately 3 hours.

Where can I take part in the i-Track experience?

You can hire out the handheld devices from the zebra-striped safari truck which is located just beyond the main gate at ZSL London Zoo, opposite the Aquarium. i-Track is only available to purchase on the day of arrival although we hope to be able to offer pre-booking for i-Track very soon. There should be plenty of availability on the day of your visit.

i-Track logoHow much does it cost to take part in the i-Track experience?

Each i-Track is £5 to hire. ZSL Members price is £4 each (must present a valid Friends or Fellows membership card). We don't ask for a deposit when you hire out an i-Track but we do request that you leave a piece of personal ID such as driving license with the staff at the safari truck.

What makes the i-Track experience different to ZSL's guide books?

i-Track provides you with an interactive zoo map which shows you where you are and how to get to where you want to be. You are able to access on demand nearly 80 film clips, photo stories, sound files and activities relevant to a number of our animals. Where else can you see our tigers being fed or listen to Jimmy the gibbon’s morning singing on demand! The ZSL London Zoo guidebook is a great souvenir to take home after your visit whereas the i-Track devices must be returned at the end of the experience.

Where can I find out more information?

On the day of your visit please speak to the staff at the zebra-striped safari truck which is located just beyond the main entrance at ZSL London Zoo, opposite the Aquarium. If you have any questions before your visit please feel free to email us on emma.taylor@zsl.org.
