Snow in the Outback at ZSL London Zoo
Monday 5 January 2009
Here’s something that you don’t see everyday - snow in the Outback. The antipodean inhabitants of ZSL London Zoo’s Outback exhibit were intrigued by the snowy landscape covering their home this morning, which is usually a dry and barren land.

The Outback exhibit is home to wallabies and emus. ZSL London Zoo opened the new Outback exhibit in August 2008 in a bid to raise awareness of the difficulty animals’ face living in extreme conditions. It is situated on the Mappin Terrace, the same site as was once home to Polar Bears.

New "Outback" exhibit now open
