Monkeys swing both ways
Monday 17 August 2009
To get them in the mood for Gay Sunday at ZSL London Zoo which happened on the 20th September 2009, the red titi monkeys and golden lion headed tamarins enjoyed their lunch from a specially designed rainbow flag feeder.

The primates loved the bright colours of the feeder which is used as an enrichment tool to encourage the monkeys’ natural inquisitive and foraging behaviours.
For the fifth year running ZSL London Zoo was proud to host the most colourful day on its social calendar - Gay Sunday!
In partnership with Gay Times, Diva Magazine and the Pink Paper, Gay Sunday gives Londoners the chance to come out to see the zebras, giraffes, hippos, and of course, the recently boosted pride of lions.
With a packed schedule of keeper talks, animal demonstrations, special entertainment, a bar and not forgetting over 750 species of animal, it's not just the monkeys who will be enjoying the rainbow revelry this Sunday.
