Its official, London Zoo is your favourite attraction!
Thursday 21 July 2005
A reader’s poll by London’s premier listing magazine, Time Out, has voted London Zoo the number one visitor attraction in the city.
Hundred’s of Londoners responded to the Time Out reader’s poll to nominate their favourite – and least favourite - London tourist attraction.
The public loved the family and child activities, the look and feel of the enclosures and of course the animals themselves.
Communications manager, Simon Rayner said: ”This is a significant achievement given the tough competition and is a credit to all the hard work and attention to detail of all ZSL staff.”
The result comes just days after ZSL announced its vision for the future of London Zoo.
The flagship collection in London will be renovated over the coming years to offer visitors the chance to see some of our amazing animals outside their traditional enclosures, introducing enclosures similar to the already hugely popular ‘Meet the Monkeys’ and the newly launched ‘African Bird Safari’.
This week’s edition also features an interview with the actress and comedienne Kathy Burke, on location at London Zoo.
