Hundreds of people made the most of the end of summer sun by flocking to ZSL London Zoo for the fourth annual Gay Sunday. Amongst the crowd was ITV1’s ‘Loose Women’ presenter Carol McGiffin with her friend Jeremy Joseph, the owner of Soho’s famous G-A-Y bar.

The day was kick started by fabulous performances from the City Jazz band and the London Gay Symphonic Wind Orchestra, who both drew in huge crowds.

This provided the perfect backdrop for the Sky Muffins to make their fabulously grand entrance, in their gorgeous pink outfits. Their hilarious comedy act helped transport visitors to Camp Oz, part of the day’s special entertainment centred around the zoo’s new Outback exhibit and on the Pink Paper picnic lawn.

The day was enjoyed by all who came; the bars were busy, the BBQ was in huge demand and the community stalls were visited by many. A magician was on site to entertain the guests, but as always the animals were the 'mane attraction'!

The day didn't end at the zoo – the wild after-party at Jeremy’s G-A-Y Late bar proved to be very popular. Many of the zoo’s guests wore their animal masks to party the night away, long after their new furry friends had gone to bed!
