Introduction to Zoo Keeping - Junior experience

Do you know any budding zoo keepers? This is the must-do experience for them!

Feed a giraffe, meet a monkey, muck out a llama enclosure, tickle a pig... plus lots more.

Open to 11 - 15 year olds at ZSL London Zoo.

This amazing experience will allow budding keepers to get up close with some of our most loved residents and give them an exclusive glimpse into what really goes on behind the scenes at the World’s most famous zoo.

Price includes:

• Fun packed 3 1/2 hour experience, including various up-close animal encounters
• Free entry into ZSL London Zoo for accompanying adult and participant for the entire day

What the experience entails
In a group of 5 participants, they will be assigned to one of our experienced friendly keepers, who will be the host throughout the experience. Once they have been kitted out in a special keeper top and cap, they’ll get to try their hand at a number of essential duties.

The experience will last 3 ½ hours and runs on weekdays in the February, Easter, spring, summer and October school holidays in 2013. The experience will start at 9.15am, and finish at 1pm. Morning refreshments are included.

Please note: We ask that a parent or guardian accompanies the participant throughout the experience. The accompanying adult will not be able to partake in the experience or access any behind the scenes areas but will be kept busy with lots of great photo opportunities.
