In 1912 Ruth Sandys designed a set of illustrations 'Dickens for the Young', and posters for the shoe firm Lilly and Skinner between 1925-30. She designed posters for the Underground Group in 1925.

The Zoological Society of London was founded in 1826 by Sir Stamford Raffles. Since then, their mission has been to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats in the wild as well as at ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.
