Children's parties at Hullabazoo

Hullabazoo, our brand-new indoor play area, is the ideal location to hold a child's birthday party.

While your little monkeys run wild on the play equipment, adults can relax in the private party room. After 1 hour of play, the party feast is then served in the room.

Our parties can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests (including all children and adults).

Party package 1 (0 - 10 year olds):

  • £19 per child
  • Open for 0 - 10 year olds
  • Weekends, school holidays and bank holidays
  • Entry into the zoo
  • Access to party room at Hullabazoo for 2 hours
  • Use of indoor play equipment at Hullabazoo for 1 hour
  • Party food platters and drinks for children
  • Goody bag for each child

  • Free adult per four children
  • Additional adults are £15 each
  • Birthday child goes free if ZSL Member

Party package 2 (under 5's only):

  • £14.50 per child
  • Open for 0 - 5 year olds
  • Weekdays in term time (check dates in FAQS )
  • Entry into the zoo
  • Access to party room at Hullabazoo for 2 hours
  • Use of indoor play equipment at Hullabazoo for 1 hour
  • Party food boxes for children
  • Goody bag for each child
  • Special gift for birthday child
  • Free car parking for all guests (in our main visitor car park)
  • Free adult per four children
  • Additional adults are £15 each
  • Birthday child goes free if ZSL Member

When can I hold a party?
Our parties run seven days a week.

Two time slots available:
10.30am - 12.30pm or 13.30pm - 15.30pm.

Guests can access the zoo anytime after 10am. The zoo closes at 18.00pm.

A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required. Final numbers and full payment are required two weeks before the party.

What food is provided for the children?

Package 1: Party food platters include sandwiches, crisps, fruit and chocolate bars. Squash and water are also provided.

Package 2: Party boxes containing lots of yummy food suitable for under 5's. Squash and water are also provided.

Birthday cakes are available to purchase. You are welcome to bring your own birthday cake, but all other party food and drink must be purchased through ZSL.

Food for adult guests:
Adult party platters (for 5 people) are available to purchase for £25.

Adult platters include a mixture of cold meats, cheeses, chutneys, breads, marinated olives, pickles and kettle crisps.

Alternatively, adults can purchase beverages and light snacks from the Hullabazoo cafe.

How can I make the party even more special?
We offer a range of upgrade options. Please book these items when you are contacted for final numbers and payment - two weeks before the party.

We supply basic partyware with the catering but you are welcome to bring your own if the birthday child has a favourite character.

Example birthday cake

Upgrade options:

  • Additional adults = £15 each
  • Birthday cake (for approx 25 people) = £45
  • Cup cakes = From £1.75 per cake
  • Premium tableware (sold in packs of 8) = TBC
  • Premium goody bags = £1.50 per child
  • Visit from mascot for 30 minutes (choose from Ernie the Keeper or Lenny the Lion) = £30
  • Face painter = £30 for 30 mins (max 10 faces) or £50 for 1 hour (max 20 faces)
  • Adult food platters (for 5 people) = £25
  • Teas & coffees (can be purchased from Hullabazoo cafe on the day)
