How much does it cost to stay overnight at Lookout Lodge?
Prices can be found on the Prices & Bookings page.
The price per person, per night is based on two-people sharing. This price is the same for two adults or one adult and one child. Additional children on family nights are £30 each.
The advertised price can go up or down depending on availability so ensure you book soon just in case the price increases.

Can I pay a deposit or do I need to pay the full fee when booking?
You will need to pay 100% of the fee when you book your places.

What is the refund / cancellation policy?
A full refund or date change will be made as long as it is a minimum of two months before the date of the experience. After this time, only exceptional circumstances will be considered for date changes, extensions or refunds. All refunds are made to the card that the experience was purchased with. The guest's name can be exchanged providing ZSL is given a minimum of seven days notice. If the person who arrives does not match our records they will not be allowed admittance onto the experience.

When is Lookout Lodge open?
You can stay at Lookout Lodge throughout late March - October 2013, Wednesday – Sunday nights.

What animals do the lodges overlook?
All of the lodges are nestled at the heart of ZSL Whipsnade Zoo. They are contained within their own area and all face towards each other.

Being at the heart of the zoo, you are surrounded by animals! Next door to Lookout Lodge is our white rhino paddock and our reindeer enclosure plus the amazing views over the Chiltern Downs. Throughout the experience you will be taken on tours around the zoo so you'll get to see lots of our animals. You'll also hear lots of them throughout the night too!

What are the age restrictions?
Adults are welcome to book on any available dates, with a maximum of two adults per lodge.
Young adults over 14 years old, with an accompanying adult, are welcome to attend on these nights too.
We also run family nights where children are welcome to come along. Based on two-people sharing (same price for two adults or one adult & child), additional children are £30 each.
Children should be 5-13 years old. Unfortunately under fives are unable to take part.

What is included in the price?

These details can be found on the Prices & Bookings page

Can I use Tesco clubcard vouchers as payment?
Unfortunately we do not accept Tesco clubcard vouchers as payment for any of our experiences. You can use these vouchers to pay for standard zoo entry tickets.

How many people can stay in a lodge?
On adult nights, each lodge can accommodate a maximum of two adults. Lodges have either twin beds or a double bed.

On family night, each lodge can accommodate a maximum of two adults and two children (or one adult and three children). Lodges have either twin beds or a double bed, and then a pull-out sofa bed for the two additional children. Children must be 5 - 13 years old. Children who are 14 years old and over, are classified as adults.

Can 3 adults stay in 1 lodge?
No, each lodge can only accommodate two adults. If you have more than two adults in your group, you will need to split over two lodges. You will then need to pay the full price for the first two guests per lodge (either two adults or one adult and one child). If the additional adult is staying alone, then they are entitled to a 30% discount off the price of two paying guests.

Can 2 adults and 3 children share a lodge?
No, on family nights a maximum of two adults and two children (or one adult and three children) can share a lodge. If your group size exceeds this, you will need to split over two lodges. The full paying price is for the first two guests per lodge (either two adults or one adult and one child), so four members of your group will then need to pay the full price. The additional child will be entitled to the £30 rate.

Please note: An adult over 18 years old is required to stay in the lodge with any children aged 5 - 13 years old. Two young adults (14 - 17 years old) can share a lodge alone, but younger children need to be accompanied by an adult.

What will we do at Lookout Lodge?

How do the adult only and family friendly nights differ?

How many other guests will be there on the night?
On adult only nights, there will be a maximum of 18 guests (based on two-sharing a lodge).
