Yedra Feltrer- ZSL Veterinary Officer
"My dream was always to work with wildlife and in conservation."

© ZSLYedra graduated at the University of Madrid in 1987 then spent a year in Munich as an intern in the surgery and ophthalmology department.
Working with wildlife and conservation was always her dream. After several years in private practice she completed the MSc in Wild Animal Health (her “best career move ever!”). Following this Yedra went to Nigeria to work with primates at the Drill Rehabilitation and Breeding Project (also a chimp sanctuary). She then went to India to work on the Vulture Decline Project led by ZSL. Before joining the Veterinary Department at ZSL London Zoo, Yedra participated in several ZSL projects including the amphibian chytridiomycosis surveillance project and native species reintroduction and translocation projects.
"The work at the vet department is interesting, stimulating and a real challenge!"
