ZSL Scientific Awards
ZSL recognises outstanding achievements in the field of zoological research and conservation through its annual presentation of awards and prizes.
The awards are presented annually and are relevant to all levels of achievement, from the Charles Darwin Award for best undergraduate thesis and the Thomas Henry Huxley Prize and Marsh Award for an exceptional PhD thesis to the Frink and Scientific Medals, which are awarded to professional scientists who have made outstanding and original contributions within a particular area of research.
The Marsh Awards for Conservation Biology and Marine and Freshwater Conservation recognise exceptional achievement in the science that underpins the conservation of animal species and habitats. The Thomson Reuters Zoological Record Award and ZSL’s Silver Medal are awarded for distinguished contributions to the public understanding and appreciation of zoology.

The Silver MedalAwarded for contributions to the understanding and appreciation of Zoology. Presented to: Rosie Trevelyan | ||
The Frink AwardAwarded annually to a professional zoologist for substantial and original contributions to the advancement of the science. Presented to: Chris Stringer, Natural History Museum | ||
