Unlocking the secrets of ageing

Award-winning scientist Professor Linda Partridge will be discussing her research into the ageing process in this year's Stamford Raffles Lecture.

Professor Linda Partridge's talk on 'The new biology of ageing' will be held on 15 June 2010 in The Meeting Rooms at ZSL London Zoo. The lecture will be preceded by the ZSL Scientific Awards presentation ceremony.

Linda Partridge is Director of the UCL Institute of Healthy Ageing and Founding Director of the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing. Her research into the biology and genetics of ageing has led to an intensive wave of research directed at understanding the mechanisms at work and her achievements have brought her many prestigious awards, including a DBE in 2009 for services to science.

Anyone wishing to attend the lecture and reception can book a place now. Places are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis - booking deadline Friday 11 June.
