Students awarded Master Courses prizes

The prize-giving ceremony for the 2008/09 Masters Courses in Wild Animal Biology and Wild Animal Health took place recently at ZSL London Zoo.

These international courses, which are jointly run by ZSL and the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, provide advanced tuition in wild animal health for biologists and veterinarians.
Over 200 veterinarians and biologists, originating from 45 different countries, have graduated and now work in wildlife conservation, health and research throughout the world.
The picture shows Dr Peter Russell of the Royal Veterinary College, and Ralph Armond, Director General of ZSL, with Andrew Routh, Chief Veterinary Officer of ZSL who awarded the prizes, with the prize winners:
- Saoirse Leonard - winner of the highest aggregate marks in the MSc WAB course
- Emmelianna Bujak - best MSc WAB research project
- Sreejith Radhakrishnan - highest aggregate marks in the MSc WAH course
- Violaine Colon and Angels Baig - joint best MSc WAH research project
