If so, tell them about the Prince Philip Prize and Marsh Christian Trust Award, which is awarded annually for studies in animal biology.

Entrants should submit a project based on practical work involving some aspect of animal biology (e.g. behaviour, physiology or ecology).

Projects should be of region of 3000 words and illustrated, and should be of a standard comparable with an A-level project or higher.

Entrants must be under 19 years of age and must be/have been pupils of a school or college in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Head teachers and science staff are asked to select entries of a high standard.

The winner receives a certificate and a monetary prize. The winner’s school/college is given a medal and a framed certificate.

Entries should be sent to The Secretary, Awards Committee, Zoological Society of London, Regent’s Park, NW1 4RY, by 30 November 2009.
