Empty Classroom Day 2013
The Empty Classroom Day event is a day to celebrate all the great learning outside the classroom that is happening, and encourages schools to sign up to say that one class is going to be learning outside for one lesson on Friday 5th July.
To help celebrate this fantastic day ZSL London and Whipsnade Zoos are offering all classes who visit on the 5th July a pack of wildflower seeds for their class to sow back at school.
They will also receive a special ‘pollinators trail’ (suitable for Key Stages 2 and 3) to complete as they go around the Zoo, which will encourage students to visit some of the Zoo’s more unusual animals and understand how animal and plants rely upon one another.
To get involved simply book your visit to London or Whipsnade Zoos in the normal way here and sign up your class on the Empty Classroom Day website at http://is.gd/emptyclassroomday . The seeds and trails will be given out on the morning of your visit.
