Biota! and conservation
The exhibit design and species selection are based on the comprehensive research carried out by our experts and reflect the importance of conservation to this project
All animals will be acquired sustainably, ensuring that the development of Biota! has no negative impact on wild populations. Animals will be kept in habitats which closely replicate their natural environment.
Exhibit design takes into account water quality and movement, substrate, natural light, temperature and rainfall cycles, and species mixes.
Diets will be provided that meet nutritional requirements and stimulate natural behaviour. Species will be kept in appropriate individual or group situations to optimise behavioural interactions and minimise stress.
