London Zoo's meerkats will be joining children from the Invaders Carnival Club at the official launch of the Club's float in this year's Notting Hill Carnival, entitled 'A Journey Through Africa'. The float has been sponsored by the Yellow Pages Group.
Jason Levi (8) and Rossanna Mohammed (10) will be dressed in full Carnival costume as Metwa dancers - the Invader's emblem. They will have their faces painted as meerkats and will be joined by London Zoo's eight-week-old hand-reared baby meerkat. www.londonzoo.co.uk to help London Zoo name the baby meerkat.
Meerkats are from South Africa and are the symbol of Neighbourhood Watch in London, which is supported by the Metropolitan Police and sponsored by the Yellow Pages Group.
