Staff Christmas Dinner Menu, Whipsnade, 1946
This seasonal artefact is a menu for a staff Christmas dinner held at Whipsnade Zoo in 1946.
Many of the dishes have titles based on the names of people who worked at Whipsnade.
The menu was very kindly donated to the ZSL archives by Laura Beal, daughter of the Whipsnade Superintendant, Captain William Beal.
The menu, along with a selection of press cuttings about Whipsnade Zoo in the 1930s and 1940s also donated by Laura Beal, may be seen at ZSL Library.
