Working for ZSL
The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is a charity devoted to conservation and education, the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats being the key role of the organisation.
Our scientists in the laboratory and field, animal management teams at both zoos and our veterinarians contribute wide-ranging skills and experience to both practical conservation and the scientific research that underpins this work.
We are committed to the principle of equal opportunities in employment. We apply policies that are determined solely by job criteria and personal ability.
If you are interested in getting involved with ZSL why not volunteer at ZSL London Zoo or ZSL Whipsnade Zoo?
Higher Education with ZSL
ZSL's Institute of Zoology offers research training through PhD studentships, and hosts undergraduate and masters level research projects conducted as part of our own MSc courses and courses at other institutions.
Unfortunately we do not have any internship opportunities available at the moment, however, please keep an eye on this page as we will advertise any opportunities here first.
Important Information for Applicants
Please state clearly which vacancy you are applying for in the subject line of your email application
Under the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, we are required to check that anyone taking up employment with us has the legal right to work in the UK. All shortlisted candidates will therefore be asked to provide documentary proof of this during the interview process and we will be required to take a copy of the successful candidates’ documents before the work commences.
Please note, If you are a non-EU citizen and you don’t have the relevant Visa to be able to work in the UK, we would only be able to apply for a Certificate of Sponsorship from the UK Border Agency if we can show we have met the Resident Labour Market Test and you are able to meet the required points needed under the new points-based system.
