What on Earth - win an animal adoption
To help get you all nature-spotting for the British Science Association's National Science & Engineering Week, we've created a special competition perfect for all eagle-eyed readers.
Their 'What on Earth' project is a call-to-action to identify as many plants and animals as possible in UK parks, gardens and hedgerows. Go outside and reconnect with all the weird and wonderful flora and fauna that inhabit our small but diverse land.
Got an expert eye? Win an adoption!
'What on Earth' is all about identifying British species. Even though they're not be local, tigers, Komodo dragons, okapi and cuttlefish all live right in the heart of London, at ZSL London Zoo. So we've greated our own Zoo version for this competition.
We're giving you the chance to put your eagle eyes to the test and see if you can identify those four species. Fill your answers in the form below and you could win a superb ZSL animal adoption.

Endangered animals in your doorstep

When you’re out an about, you may be lucky enough to spot one of the UK’s most endangered species.
What on Earth’s Star Species highlights our most threatened wildlife. Watch ZSL Whipsnade Zoo’s keeper Jaime Graham explain why he thinks the corncrake is worth saving and what ZSL is doing to conserve these noisy birds.
Schools' competition
Don’t forget to take part in National Science and Engineering Week’s schools poster competition – Endanger Rangers.
