The Queen comes to London Zoo
Watch archive footage of a rather royal visit from April 1939.
On the 11 April 1939 the Royal Princesses paid a visit to London Zoo to meet the keepers and some of their wonderful charges.
In 2006 ZSL would like to wish the Queen a very happy 80th birthday and thank her for her continued support as patron of ZSL, the charitable organisation behind both London Zoo and Whipsnade Wild Animal Park.
