Below are the terms and conditions for current competitions and promotions on this website.
Zoo Lates Retweet Competition – Terms and conditions
1) This competition is open to over 18’s only, upon entry to ZSL London Zoo the winners maybe asked to provide proof of age in the form of a passport or driver's licence.
2) There are no cash alternatives or refunds given for tickets and can only be given to the prize winner.
3) Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
4) All entrants must be over 14 years of age.
5) The winner will be picked at random by ZSL, our decision is final.
6) Full contact details must be supplied to retrieve the prize.
7) By accepting the prize you accept these terms and conditions, and the attractions terms and conditions of entry.
8) ZSL accepts no liability for lost or stolen tickets.
9) The prize cannot be redeemed for cash and no refunds can be given.
10) ZSL reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition in whole or in part at any time.
11) The stipulation of this prize is not verification that either ZSL London Zoo will be open or that it can be used on the day you plan to visit.
12) The winner must claim their prize within 28 days otherwise we reserve the right to withdraw the prize.
13) Once contacted the ZSL team will arrange a suitable date for Zoo Lates night.
14) The competition will close on Monday 30th April 2012 at 4pm, any tweets made after this time will not be counted.
Caption membership competition – Terms and conditions
1) A family membership comprises of up to 2 adults and up to 5 children (all living at the same address).
2) There are no cash alternatives or refunds given and the membership can only be given to the prize winner.
3) Membership is valid from date of issue for 6 months.
4) Only one family membership per winner.
5) Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
6) All entrants must be over 14 years of age.
7) The winners will be chosen by a judging panel at ZSL London Zoo and the decision is final. Closing date for entry is 4pm on 22nd September 2011. Any new caption entries after this time will not be entered into the competition.
8) Full contact details must be supplied to retrieve the membership prize.
9) This membership must be surrendered upon expiry. Any extension to the membership will be at standard tariff price.
10) By accepting the prize you accept these terms and conditions, and the attractions terms and conditions of entry.
11) ZSL accepts no liability for lost or stolen membership cards.
12) The prize cannot be redeemed for cash and no refunds can be given.

Wild About photography competition – Terms and conditions
1) Photographs entered must be taken in either ZSL London Zoo or ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.
2) Entrants can submit photos as prints or electronically in colour or black and white.
3) Images may be digitally enhanced to remove spots or scratches, but not manipulated. Entrants can enhance the picture to make it brighter, clearer etc, but not manipulate the content. ZSL reserve the right to exclude any image they believe may have been excessively treated so as to alter its authenticity.
4) The competition is open to UK residents only (including residents of the Channel Islands and Isle of Man). Employees of ZSL, as well as their immediate families, are not eligible to enter. Entrants under the age of 12 years need to have parent or guardian consent to enter.
5) Entrants must not be professional photographers and, for the purposes of this competition, a professional photographer will be considered to be someone who makes more than half their annual income from the sale of their photographs.
6) Each entry should be marked with name, address, contact telephone number (both daytime and evening) and where the photo was taken.
7) ZSL will only ever use personal details for the purposes of administering the scheme. Please see the ZSL Privacy Policy.

9) The competition closes at midnight on 31 December 2011. Entries received after this date will not be considered.
ZSL cannot accept any responsibility for any problem with the postal service which may result in any entry being lost or delayed. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
Entries will not be returned, so please remember to keep a copy. Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted and no feedback on any entry will be provided.
10) All photographs will be judged on the following criteria:
• Composition
• Technical ability
• Originality
• Commercial appeal
11) The photographs will be judged through the following process:
• Stage One
The Wild About editorial board will review all entries and select a short list of 50 photographs, based on the above criteria.
• Stage Two
A second panel of judges will then review all the entries on the above list and select a shortlist of 12 entries based on the above criteria. The panel will also select their overall favourite.
12) The final 12 photos will appear in the ZSL Calendar 2013, to be sold in aid of ZSL’s global conservation work. The finalists’ photographs will also be published in ZSL’s Wild About Magazine.
13) All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries, or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.
14) Prior to submission, entrants must not have offered any of their entries for sale, been paid for any publication of any of their entries, or won or been a runner- up in any other photographic competition with any of their entries.
15) Entrants will retain copyright in the photographs that they submit to ZSL. By entering the competition, all entrants grant to ZSL the right to publish and exhibit their photographs on the ZSL website, and in our magazines & promotional literature. Entrants whose photographs are one of the finalists & selected to appear in the ZSL Calendar 2013 grant to the ZSL (including Zoo Enterprises Limited (ZEL)and other publishers authorised by ZSL) the further rights to publish and exhibit their photographs in print, on their respective websites or in any other media. No fees will be payable for any of the above uses. Entrants whose photographs are one of the finalists also agree to take part in post-competition publicity. While we make every effort to credit photographers, including in printed reproductions of their work, we cannot guarantee that every use of the photographs will include the photographers' names.
16) By entering the competition, all entrants grant to ZSL (including Zoo Enterprises Ltd (ZEL)) the right to use the submitted image on product that is sold by ZEL (or other manufacturers authorised by ZEL). No fees will be payable for any of the above uses. While we make every effort to credit photographers, including in printed reproductions of their work, we cannot guarantee that every use of the photographs will include the photographers' names.
17) By entering, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to these rules and ZSL reserves the right to exclude any entry from the competition at any time and in its absolute discretion if ZSL has reason to believe that an entrant has breached these rules.
18) ZSL reserves the right to cancel this competition or alter any of the rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
19) If the winner is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, ZSL reserves the right to either offer the prize to a runner-up or to re-offer the prize in any future competition.
20) These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This competition is administered by ZSL.
Wild about Whipsnade prize draw – Terms and conditions
1. This offer entitles the user to £40 worth of vouchers redeemable at Wild Bites Café at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.
2. Please present your voucher card at the restaurant check-out as payment for your meal.
3. Photocopied, damaged or forged vouchers will not be accepted.
4. The voucher is valid from 01st April 2012 March to 31st 2013. Offer redeemable during normal attraction opening dates and times. Please check opening and closing times with attraction prior to visit.
5. The attraction reserves the right to refuse admission where these conditions have not been adhered to.
6. There is not cash alternative in lieu of the £40 vouchers.
7. Exchange, re-sale of vouchers is strictly prohibited
8. The attraction accepts no liability for lost or stolen vouchers
9. The attraction reserves the right to withdraw, amend or replace the offer without prior notification.
10. Entry terms and conditions apply and manager's decision is final.

Zookeeper preview screening - terms and conditions
This competition has now ended
1. The competition is being run by The Zoological Society of London, Marketing and Communications Department, Regents Park, London NW1 4RY. If you require a hard copy of these terms and conditions please contact us at the address above.
2. There are 15 sets of family tickets (4 people) available to be won in total. 5 sets are for Twitter and Facebook followers, 5 sets are for Animal News eNews subscribers and 5 sets are for ZSL members eNews subscribers.
3. Closing date for entry into the competition is midnight on 15 July 2011. Entries received after this date will not be included into the draw.
4. The fifteen winners will be drawn at random and the successful applicants will be notified within 5 working days after the competition closes. ZSL's decision is final.
5. There will be no cash or other alternative to the prize offered and prizes are not transferable.
6. If the prize in unclaimed by midnight on 26 July 2011 ZSL reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner
7. Responsibility cannot be accepted by ZSL for entries which are not received. ZSL reserves the right to disqualify entrants if they are thought to be cheating in any way.
8. This competition is not open to ZSL employees, contractors, affiliated agencies and their families.
