Outreach Support Volunteers
This recently developed wing of the education programme at ZSL London Zoo brings messages about the environment and respect for animals into primary and secondary schools.
We have a small collection of animals which are taken out to schools to illustrate various concepts and volunteers are involved in presenting these to children. When not on a school visit, volunteers assist with care of the outreach animals. It is desirable that applicants live near ZSL London Zoo as the Outreach team may sometimes need to depart from 0800. Due to the nature of this opportunity, applicants need to be able to commit their time very reliably.
We are looking for people who are:
- Friendly and helpful
- Confident in talking to children
- Fit and healthy and able to do some light lifting and carrying
- Have some experience in animal care and handling
To apply, complete an outreach support volunteer application form and return to the address given on the form. - Download:
