ZSL Patrons - brand new programme
ZSL Patrons is a prestigious programme offering a new and exciting way of helping the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) in its mission to achieve and promote the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats.
In 2006, the ZSL Patron Scheme was launched. Since its inception our Patrons have provided us with tremendous, committed support, enabling us to continue our vital work at ZSL London and Whipsnade Zoos, the Institute of Zoology and in our conservation programmes around the world.
Over the last year, we have been working hard with our Patrons to update and refresh the Patron Scheme to create ZSL Patrons.
Offering a range of fantastic benefits and costing as little as £500 a year, ZSL Patrons is an exciting and unique way to be closely involved in ZSL, providing you with exclusive access to our Zoos, conservationists and scientists.
The new scheme splits patronage into four different levels, making it easier for you to choose a level of support that suits you best.

- Unlimited Zoo entry for one or two named adults plus up to three guests (total of four people may enter ZSL London or Whisnade Zoo per Patron membership)
- Invitation to ZSL's annual Patrons' event

- Discounts on ticketed zoo events
Guardian
All the benefits of the previous level, plus...
- Unlimited Zoo entry for one or two named adults plus up to five guests (total of six people may enter London or Whipsnade Zoo per Patron membership)
- 'Name a nanny' - an alternative adult who may use the card without the Patron being present, perfect for a grandparent or nanny
- 6 complimentary Zoo tickets per year
- Recognition in ZSL's Annual Review and on the ZSL website
- A personal copy of the Annual Review sent to you each year
- Invitations to 'ZSL Insight' events, offering the chance to meet ZSL experts and hear more about what goes on behind the scenes
Ambassador
All the benefits of the previous levels, plus...
- An animal encounter for up to six guests (by pre-arrangement)
- 4 additional Zoo tickets per year
- Complimentary car parking at London Zoo and Whipsnade Zoo, and car entry at Whipsnade Zoo
- 2 complimentary tickets to Zoo Nights at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo
- VIP complimentary invitation to the annual Stamford Raffles lecture and reception
- Invitation to our Seasonal Celebration drinks reception in December
- Invitations to private ZSL events such as exhibit previews and dinners
President's Circle
All the benefits of the previous levels, plus...
- An additional animal encounter for up to six guests (by pre-arrangement)
- Discount on venue hire for special events at London or Whipsnade Zoos
- 4 additional Zoo tickets per year
- ZSL Directors' updates
- Opportunities to visit ZSL conservation field sites (additional costs will apply)
- Annual President's lunch or dinner
