Adopt an Animal at Whipsnade Wild Animal Park

'SAY IT WITH ANIMALS' THIS VALENTINE'S DAY -
ADOPT AN ANIMAL FROM WHIPSNADE WILD ANIMAL PARK
Love is in the air ... but how can you demonstrate your feelings to your true love in a unique way this Valentine's Day? The answer is at Whipsnade Wild Animal Park - adopt an animal!
With over 200 species to choose from, you can be sure to find an animal to help sow the seeds of love in a romantic and unusual way. Why not select an elegant and proud peacock for your special lady or gentleman, or, for the truly devoted, adopt an elegant pair of seahorses. Seahorses are known not just for their distinctive entwined tails embrace, but also because they pair for life.
If the girl or boy of your dreams is the jewel in your life, how about adopting a silvery marmoset, or how about 'sealing' your love by adopting a seal? There are so many animals to choose from - from a pygmy hippopotamus to a ring-tailed lemur - that you're sure to find one that will say just what you want to, without the words.
By adopting an animal, you are demonstrating the caring side of your nature - not only making a statement of love, but also making a valuable contribution to helping conserve animals threatened by extinction all over the world. Animal adoptions contribute to the animals' specialist diet, their on-going care, and the upkeep of their enclosures as well as supporting conservation programmes both at home and overseas.

Notes to Editors:
- Adoptive parents will receive a special adoption pack containing a photograph of their animal, a badge, a certificate, a car sticker, a regular newsletter, their name on a special 'thank you' boards around Whipsnade Wild Animal Park, and a complimentary ticket to visit their animal.
- Adopters can also purchase a t-shirt, mousemat or jigsaw of their adopted animal at additional cost.
- Animal adoptions cost 40 for a shared adoption for any of the species at the Park, including a poison arrow frog, ring-tailed lemur, white rhinoceros, seahorse or even a vulture! We don't specify which bit of the animal is yours!
