Within Uganda, a number of species have been monitored over the last four decades. Using population data from 48 vertebrate species within Uganda it has been possible to construct a series of indices using the LPI method, which persuasively shows a decline in the abundance of certain species in the country’s natural ecosystems from 1970 to 2006.
