21st Century Tiger

21st Century Tiger is a unique initiative which raises funds for wild tiger conservation projects. The current members of the initiative are the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) and Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation and the agency itself is based and administered at ZSL.

21st Century Tiger supports carefully chosen conservation projects that are dedicated to making a long term difference to the future of wild tigers. They include anti-poaching, education and wildlife-trading projects in Sumatra, Russia, India, Thailand and China. These projects are run by internationally respected conservation NGOs including WCS, FFI, Phoenix Fund, ZSL, Freeland, EIA and IFAW. All projects funded by 21st Century Tiger are reviewed by leading conservation experts to ensure best practice and effective outcomes.

• 100% of donations received by 21st Century Tiger are used to fund projects in the field.

Inspiring fundraising by fantastic members of the public generate thousands of pounds from junior events, treks, marathons, auctions and swims.On our website you will find many other fabulous ways to support tigers through the purchase of a range of items including specialist books and calendars.

A special feature of 21st Century Tiger is the links with International zoos. During 2002-4, 21st Century Tiger acted as the official channel for tiger conservation campaigns run by the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA) and the Australasian Zoo Association now known as Zoo and Aquarium Association Australasia. The EAZA campaigns were particularly successful, raising a staggering three-quarter of a million Euros!

Many zoos continued with support, raising funds for tiger conservation through 21st Century Tiger, making use of pictures, news items and projects for educational and awareness materials from the very successful
21st Century Tiger website.

Supporters of 21st Century Tiger include Ruth Padel, poet writer and broadcaster, the television presenter and biologist Liz Bonnin, the internationally acclaimed wildlife photographer Andy Rouse and Gus Christie, Executive Chairman of Glyndebourne and wildlife cameraman.
