Tigers helped by Stephen Gately

Boyzone star Stephen Gately has pledged his support to the 21st Century Tiger campaign to help raise awareness of the imminent threat of extinction facing tigers around the world.
Established as a joint project between ZSL and Global Tiger Patrol, 21st Century Tiger funds many different tiger conservation projects.
Stephen Gately visited the tigers at ZSL London Zoo, and is keen to help promote the of 21st Century Tiger and ZSL, "As a big animal lover I am really pleased to be able to help raise awareness of the terrible plight of tigers facing extinction by promoting 21st Century Tiger. They give 100% of all donations received to wild tiger conservation projects and so please get involved and support the work they do."
Projects that are supported by 21st Century Tiger range from large-scale anti-poaching and wildlife-trading projects in Sumatra and Russia to resettlement projects in India. Knowledge and information on what tigers need to survive is essential for successful conservation and so 21st Century Tiger also supports ecological studies in both Sumatra – ZSL’s own Jambi Tiger Project - and Russia – a long-term monitoring and research project with the Wildlife Conservation Society.
