Whipsnade statement 23rd October - Tragic incident at London Zoo

Everyone at Whipsnade Wild Animal Park was deeply saddened to learn of Saturday's tragic incident at our sister collection, London Zoo. Many at Whipsnade, and most particularly the elephant keepers, worked closely with Jim Robson. He will be greatly missed both as a respected colleague and a friend.

As a mark of respect Whipsnade's 70th birthday celebration due to be held this Friday, 26 October, has been postponed to early next year.
